Why not spend a relaxing day in the towns beautiful Abbey Gardens. Admire the flowers and plants, visit the exotic birds, play tennis or bowls, walk around the abbey ruins or simply laze in the sun.

St. Edmundbury Cathedral

Churches and Cathedrals.

Being an historic town, Bury St. Edmunds is not without it's fair share of churches and cathedrals. Perhaps the most famous is the impressive St. Edmundsbury Cathedral.

A Market Town.

Bury St. Edmunds has a thriving town market every Wednesday and Saturday. Stalls sell everything form fruit and veg, speciality meats and cheeses, to pictures, clothes and cd's.
The market can be found in Bury's historic town centre.
In addition there are regular craft and record fairs held within the town.
