THE LATEST NEWS FROM THE ARCO BRUISERS TEAM.

12.08.2001 FIRST ARCO TOURNAMENT TRIUMPHS OVER WEATHER.

Despite a morning of torrential rain the tournament managed to go ahead with a slightly delayed kick-off. The day went well with the host team reaching the semi-finals and narrowly losing out to a final place 3-2.
The final took place between Northgate Foods and Vintens, with Vintens coming out worthy winners.

22/06/01 ARCO TO HOST TOURNAMENT.

The Arco Bruisers have confirmed plans to hold their first five a side tournament in August. The tournament will consist of 16 teams battling it out in four groups of four.
The competition will take place on August the 12th at the County Upper School astro turf pitches.

01.06.01 BUGEJA PONDERS FUTURE.

The Bruisers injured goalkeeper continues to recover from his multiple fracture finger injury. In the meantime he has been playing as a defender with another team to keep his fitness level up while he decides on his goalkeeping future.

01.08.2001 SCARFE KNEE OPERATION SUCCESSFUL

We are pleased to announce that Phil Scarfes planned knee operation proved successful. The troublesome cartlidge has been removed and Phil continues to make a speedy recovery.
We look forward to welcoming him back into the team.

15.06.01 SCARFE OPERATION ANNOUNCED.

The Bruisers injured midfielder, Phil Scarfe, has announced that he will undergo surgery on his troublesome knee in late July.
Obviously the operation will put him out of action for some weeks and the team wishes him a speedy recovery to full fitness as quickly as possible.

25.05.01 KIRK ON ROAD TO RECOVERY.

Darren Kirk continues to make good progress after his knee operation. He recently made an appearance in The Bruisers ill feted entry into The Bridge 5-A-Side Tournament and became their highest goal scorer. It is hoped his recovery will be continued and he can become an important member of the team.
